Blog Tour: All Lined Up by Cora Carmack - Review + Giveaway!

In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

Seriously, Cora Carmack is one of my favorite authors ever. I loved her Losing It series and I love the beginning of the Rusk University series!

Dallas is my kind of girl. She is spunky and sarcastic but she is just a vulnerable girl who needs someone to love her. Her dad is all the family she has and he is not the most open and understanding parent ever, thank goodness that did change though. It took her a while to open up to Carson, but I loved when she finally let go and took the plunge.

Carson…swoon. My goodness, he was such a genuinely good guy. I know I rave on and on about my tatted up bad boys, but Carson made me forget allllll about them. He was the second string quarterback on her dads college team, and he had to work really hard for his life’s dream. I loved his strong work ethic. And he was damn sexy.

The secondary characters, especially Stella, were great. The plot was fast paced and I definitely couldn’t put it down and I read it in one sitting. Nothing could keep me from reading more about sexy Carson. The plot had its misunderstandings but not too much angst, to my relief. It was a perfect mix of everything I could want in a book, complete with sexy scenes.

I am so psyched to read Silas’s story, Carson’s fellow teammate. If you love NA, I can guarantee you’ll adore this one!

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: His thumb trails down to my chin, and he presses down just enough to pull my lips apart. His tongue darts out, tracing my bottom lip the same way his thumb did, and I grip his shoulders hard because I feel like I might fall even though I’m sitting down. One of his hands grips my hip in response as he teases my lip with his tongue one more time.

Blog Tour: Out of Mind by Jen McLaughlin - Review + Giveaway!

Reaching for sunlight...

Finn survived the ambush and came home to me, but in his head, the battle is still raging. He’s falling apart and I’m trying my best to pick up the pieces of him, to find the us we used to be. I love him as much as I ever did, but love isn’t enough to fix this. I thought telling my father about our relationship would be the hardest thing we’d ever have to face. I was wrong.

Lost in shadows...

All I wanted was to be worthy of Carrie. One mission, just one, and I’d be able to give her the future she deserved. Then everything went wrong, leaving me tainted and broken. Carrie wants me to be who I was, but all that’s left is what they made of me. I’m no good for her. No good for anyone like this. I have to figure out how to move forward. Alone.

Sometimes love isn’t enough…

This NA series has been so great since the first page. The final installment was equally as good and had such a great ending.

Carrie really does some growing up in this book. She goes through some really hard times but has to get through them herself and it really makes her stronger, not that she wasn’t strong to begin with. I was very proud of her!

Finn, my sexy Marine! I hated what you had to go through but I’m so glad you had Carrie. But still, so many times I wanted to smack you. You were so stubborn and cantankerous but I still love you. :)

The plot was awesome because it was a change from the first two books. It had my mind racing and needing to see how things resolved. And for the romance, Jen writes some of the steamiest NA books I have ever read…seriously. *fans self*

If you like sexy Marines and swoony scenes, be sure to start this series. Check out my review of the first book here!

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: His mouth opened under mine, so I slid my tongue inside, seeking his. As soon as I found it, heat shot through my body, making me tremble. I deepened the kiss, needing more of him. Needing to kiss him, touch him, love him. I had been too long since I’d gotten to kiss him like this. Feel him like this.

Check out the excerpt from Royally Lost!

“So how was your date with Nikolai?”
Becca glared at her brother, Dylan.
“Uh-oh. Did he stand you up?” Dylan held a rolled-up magazine.
She frowned, frustrated that she’d been so easily played. “Yeah, you could say that.”
“This might explain why.” Dylan held the magazine under her face, forcing her to look at the glossy picture of a guy who looked exactly like Nikolai.
She took the magazine and examined it closer. Her breath caught in her throat. “That’s Nikolai!”
She’d recognize him anywhere. She couldn’t read the foreign headline, but it ended with an exclamation point. “Dylan, where did you find this?”
He grimaced and shrugged. “It was at every newspaper stand I saw today.”
“Why is he on the cover? Did he do something wrong?” She paged through the magazine, holding her breath. Confusion turned to shock when she saw a two-page spread filled with pictures of Nikolai.
Nikolai at the beach; a picture of him playing polo; a picture of him in a tuxedo with a girl wearing a glittering gown. Then Becca’s eyes landed on a formal picture of Nikolai in uniform, with a sword at his belt, standing next to a young girl. A stern man and austere woman sat in gilded chairs; both adults wore crowns.
Her jaw dropped open.
“Why is Nikolai in that picture with people wearing crowns? Who is he?” she asked. Her heart pumped so fast she could feel the blood pulse through her temples. “And why did he lie about his identity?”
