Favorite Beginnings:
1.     Losing It by: Cora Carmack – This is just about the funniest beginning of a book I have ever read. Two words: Made-up Cats.
2.     Wallbanger by: Alice Clayton – This book certainly starts off with a bang! Or about three…
3.     Obsidian by: Jennifer L. Armentrout – I love the first initial conversation between Kitten and Daemon.
4.     Hex Hall by: Rachel Hawkins – There are just so many things I love about the beginning of this book. Hot guy, clumsy girl, angry shapeshifter.
5.     City of Bones by: Cassandra Clare – Pandemonium Club is the beginning of one of my favorite series everrrrr.

Favorite Endings:
1.     Clockwork Princess by: Cassandra Clare – OHMYGOD this epilogue is just freakin’ epic and totally amazing. I cried some serious ugly tears during it.
2.     The Liberator by: Victoria Scott – This ending is a perfect set up for book 3, which I am SO EXCITED FOR.
3.     Unravel Me by: Tahereh Mafi – This may be a weird one but I just adore the ending. It gives me much hope for book 3!
4.     The Edge of Never by: J.A. Redmerski – After bawling for a couple minutes, I recollected myself to finish the book and I just loved it. I can’t wait for book 2.
5.     The Iron Knight by: Julie Kagawa – One of my favorite endings for my one of my favorite series ever. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Top Ten Tuesday (24): Top Ten Books Featuring Travel In Some Way

Top Ten Tuesday (24): Top Ten Books Featuring Travel In Some Way
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. For more information and a list of past and future topics, go here.

Okay most of these are pretty loose translations of travel, but there is definite movement from place to place. :)

1.     Anna and the French Kiss by: Stephanie Perkins – So Anna travels to France for her senior year of high school. This counts, right?

2.     City of Glass by: Cassandra Clare – The whole gang of Shadowhunters travel to Idris in this 3rd installment. I still want an Idris University sweatshirt. Who’s with me?!

3.     Wallbanger by: Alice Clayton – Caroline and Simon venture to Spain and have some very smexy times!

4.     The Edge of Never by: J.A. Redmerski – Camryn and Andrew are basically on a road trip this whole book without a map to guide them. So heartbreaking and adorable.

5.     Through the Ever Night by: Veronica Rossi – Both Aria and Perry both travel to different places to accomplish different goals, but they always find their way back together.

6.     The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by: Jennifer E. Smith – I mean, this whole book focuses on two people meeting at an airport. It really shows how 24 hours can change your life.

7.     Poison Princess by: Kresley Cole – After their hometown is ravaged, Jackson and Evie have to run for their lives, traveling across the whole country. They may be in danger, but that doesn’t stop them from having some pretty steamy moments.

8.     Valkyrie Rising by: Ingrid Paulson – Ellie travels to Norway where she runs into all kinds of trouble. Badass Valkyries and infuriating best friends of brothers can prove to be pretty tough.

9.     Sweet Evil by: Wendy Higgins - ROAD TRIP! Oh my sweet goodness I adore this book. Traveling with the son of the Duke of Lust is exactly as hot as you’d imagine.

10. The Iron Fey series by: Julie Kagawa – This whole dang series consists of Meghan and Ash on the lam, traveling between worlds and venturing into new realms.
What are your favorite books featuring travel?!

1.     Something Strange and Lovely series by: Susan Dennard – The colors and the dresses and the darkness are just about the best covers I have ever seen!
2.     The Selection series by: Kiera Cass – Again, the same reason as above. The dresses are so pretty!
3.     Black City by: Elizabeth Richards – It’s so cool how it seems like crystal breaking. The colors are breathtaking.
4.     Starcrossed series by: Josephine Angelini – Ah these covers are so beautiful with the dresses and the wind and the colors all blending together.
5.     Mara Dyer series by: Michelle Hodkin – These have always been a top favorite of mine, with really good reason. Just look! :)
6.     Hourglass series by: Myra McEntire – These covers are trippy and make me look twice whenever I see them, which is clearly the purpose of magnificent covers.
7.     Any Cassandra Clare book – I mean duh. Whoever designs these covers are pure genius.

8.     Hush, Hush series by: Becca Fitzpatrick – I totally get the angel vibe from the covers and the black and white works perfectly.
9.     The Chaos of Stars by: Kiersten White – This book hasn’t even released yet but I know it’ll be great, partly because of the amazing cover it has!
10. Of Poseidon series by: Anna Banks – The typography is about the coolest I have ever seen and they accurately describe the premise of the book.
