Blog Tour: Built by Jay Crownover - Review + Giveaway!

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes an electrifying new spin-off series, Saints of Denver, featuring all the characters fans have been dying to read about.

Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel.

Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior.

But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.

Rule, Jay’s first book, was one of my first and favorite New Adult book ever a couple years ago. I am so happy that I have followed her as an author and now she is on her new series, Saints of Denver.

Sayer Cole is content in her lonely life. She loves that she just found her long lost brother and is really happy with their relationship. But she knows something is missing, but she can’t break through her cold heart to find love. Until….Zeb came around. AND SAYER IS A SPUFFY FAN!!!!!! (From Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Zeb is amazing. I love a strong, tattooed man who is great with their hands. ;) He is super patient and takes great care of Sayer. I really enjoyed him and his interaction with another character, whom I can’t talk about since it is a spoiler! He is one of my favorite Jay Crownover boys, right up there with Rule.

The side characters were amazing, especially Rowdy and Zeb’s family. They were so supportive of their family members in times of need. The sexy times were pretty great too!

I am SO EXCITED to read the next book featuring Sayer’s lawyer friend Quaid and Avett, who made appearances in the Marked Men series!

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: Then there was whatever it was Zeb was doing to me. It felt like a conquering. A victory. A battle fought and won. It felt like he was trying to make it so that I would never be able to kiss anyone else in my life without having to compare it to this moment, to the feel of his hard mouth contrasting with my soft scrape of his bead against my skin.

Blog Tour: The Best Goodbye by Abbi Glines - Review + Giveaway!

After ten years in the employ of a mysterious crime boss, River “Captain” Kipling is ready to leave his sordid past—and his cover occupation as an upscale restaurateur—behind him. The only thing standing in the way of his “retirement” is his commitment to launch a new restaurant in the resort town of Rosemary Beach. With his sister, Blaire, nearby, Captain can delay his dream of running a humble bar on the waterfront, but the unwanted attentions of his head server, Elle, have him itching to get out.

Until he notices Rose Henderson, the new server at the restaurant. All he knows about the pretty redhead with the cute glasses is that she’s a hardworking single mom from Oklahoma. But there’s something overly familiar about her laugh…something strange about the way she looks at Captain…

I absolutely loved Captain from the moment I met him on the boat when he met Blaire. When I heard he was getting his own book, I couldn’t wait!

Rose was such a sweetheart. I loved her and thought she was super loving, especially to her daughter. She was a wonderful mom. She was hard-working and did everything in the best interest of her daughter. Speaking of her daughter, she was the most precious thing on earth. Loved Franny! :)

Captain/River was equally as great. He did not let any women get close to him ever, so Rose was super different. I liked how he was around Franny and how protective he was of Rose. He also was mega sexy and successful, which is always a really great attribute.

WHEN IS NAN’S BOOK COMING OUT!? I know I ask this question every time I read an Abbi Glines book, but seriously I can’t wait. I love to read about villains getting redeemed.

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: His other hand slid into my hair and cupped the back of my head while he kissed his way up my neck, stopping to give me small licks where my pulse beat furiously. He pressed his tongue against one small point and groaned.
