Blog Tour: When I'm Gone by Abbi Glines - Review + Giveaway!

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the next new adult novel in the Rosemary Beach series, in which we meet Mase, a Texas heartthrob first introduced in Take a Chance who comes to Rosemary Beach to stir things up.

I had an urge to fix all her problems. Which was stupid. She was doing fine without me. But something about those big eyes…

Mase Colt-Manning has always preferred his humble life as a Texas rancher to his birthright as the son of a legendary rock star. In fact, he rarely visits his father’s rarefied world in Rosemary Beach, especially if it means bunking at his vile half-sister Nan’s house—until one visit leads to a chance encounter with a young, gorgeous house maid who awakens him with her off-key but spirited imitation of a country music star…

Reese Ellis finally has her freedom. After escaping a lifetime of abuse from her parents and classmates for an undiagnosed learning disorder, she seizes the opportunity to be a house maid to some of the richest families in Rosemary Beach. But her job is in jeopardy when she causes an accident at the home of her most important client, Nan Dillon. When a hot, half-naked stranger with a cowboy’s swagger comes to her rescue, she’s intrigued—then afraid once he shows his own interest. Reese has never met a trustworthy man in her life. Will Mase be any different?

Abbi Glines can do no wrong in my book. Mase Manning was exactly everything I wanted him to be…and more!

Reese has had a horrible life. Like my goodness, she was the exact definition of Murphy’s Law…if it could go wrong for her, it always did. She never had any luck go her way until she met Mase. She was quiet and timid, but I really liked her. She was a housekeeper who worked way too hard, and it was so nice to see her let loose the longer she knew Mase.

Mase was the sexiest cowboy I’ve ever met. And he has a heart of pure gold. He knew Reese was something special as soon as he met her, and he always treated her like royalty, something she desperately needed. He was just so kind in every way and took things slow with her, something else she needed in her first relationship. Basically, he was total perfection.

There is always something really special about an Abbi Glines book. I totally adore her Rosemary Beach series, but the book I cannot wait for is…NAN’S! She shows her catty side once again in this book but I just know Abbi will redeem her. Soon, I hope? Glines’s books are never long and tedious, and they suck me in right away. Plus the romance…HOT!

After reading the blurb for Mase’s second book, When You’re Back, it makes me nervousss. I hate when couples leave the honeymoon stage!

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: He took both my hands and pulled me into his lap. I had to straddle him with my knees on the bed. He tilted his mouth to fit across mine, and then all thought of nerves vanished as he kissed me again. The wonders he could accomplish with the slip of his tongue. I wrapped my arms around his neck and sank into him...

Blog Tour: Clash by Sawyer Bennett - Review!

Clash (verb): to conflict, disagree.

It might be fair to say that I despise Macy Carrington. She slings insults with precision, not caring about the destruction she leaves in her wake. We clash in a battle of wills every time we’re around each other, and yet… I still fantasize about being lodged deep within her body.

Clash (verb): to come together or collide.

I have never encountered someone that grates me the way Cal Carson does. His pompous, arrogant demeanor. A holier-than-thou attitude. Any interaction with “Saint Cal” ends in a verbal clash of epic proportions, and yet… there’s no one I’d rather have in my bed than him.

Clash (noun): a battle, fight or skirmish.

Her breathy moans mingle with the sound of our flesh coming together, clashing with the silence that surrounds us, dispelling any notions I once had about Macy Carrington.

Maybe I can break down her walls if we can call a truce to this battle.

He whispers filthy words in my ear, provoking feelings I never knew were possible. The burning desire in his touch clashes with everything I once believed about Cal Carson.

Maybe he can be the balm I need to soothe my broken soul, if only temporarily.

Sawyer Bennett’s Legal Affairs series was so great and when I heard that she was writing Cal and Macy’s book, I knew I needed to read it!

Macy has a very over-the-top personality. She loves excess and parties and extravagance. But she has been through a tough time. She has no support from her parents at all. They just throw her money and do not ever take care of her emotional needs. They are awful. She is just broken, and she needs Saint Cal to help fix her.

Cal is a great guy. He may have done a questionable thing in regards to Matt, his best friend, but he truly is a good guy. He is a great friend to Mac. He’s also super sexy so that’s also a plus!

This is a novella so it gives the reader a small taste of what’s to come, but the next two books will be full-length novels. As for me, I can’t wait!
