Review: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.
I absolutely cannot express how much I love and adore this series of Sarah’s. Well, really both of her best selling fantasy series. I can’t stress how amazing the sequel to A Court of Rose and Thorns was, but I will attempt it!

Feyre has grown so much in this installment and it amazed me. She was not in a good place in the beginning but those around her could not see the darkness that was enveloping her. She needed to escape and luckily she was able to. Her strength is one of the strongest I’ve ever seen and I have never been more inspired by a heroine. She does not rely on anyone, even the hero, like so many others do.

Speaking of the sexiest hero ever….the award goes to Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court. Oh my goodness I was constantly swooning in his presence and with every word he said. I am also in awe of him, since there is nothing I love more than a man who knows the strength of his woman and knows that they do not need assistance. He is the perfect companion for Feyre!

I am in love with every single word that Sarah writes. I could not (willingly) put the book down, and when I was forced to, it was always on my mind. The romance in the sequel is breathtakingly beautiful. The slow build made it really worth it for me. When the culmination happened…wow. Let me tell you, there was nothing better!

When the third and final installment of one of my favorite series comes out, I will run to the bookstore with bells on.

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: So I turned around again, meeting Rhysand’s now-blazing eyes, and then licked up the column of his throat. Wind and sea and citrus and sweat. It almost undid me. I faced forward and Rhys dragged his mouth along the back of my neck, right over my spine, just as I shifted against the hardness pushing into me, insistent and dominating. Precisely as his hand slid a bit too high on my inner thigh.
