I really enjoyed Danielle’s YA series, Heart Waves, so I was
psyched to read her first NA novel!
Elizabeth was a strong main character. She was hesitant to
rush into a relationship with Carter because of her past, which I am glad for.
She also didn’t lie down in any arguments and stuck up for her opinions. I do
wish I could have learned a bit more of her personality during her chapters.
Carter. Oh my god I felt so bad for what he had to go
through. I literally could not imagine that ever happening to me or anyone that
I know. But he was so strong about it. And I absolutely loved his
career. I thought it was perfect for who Carter was. So amazing!
I really liked Liz’s sister Violet. I’d love to see
her story next. I hated each one of their parents at one time or another except
for Elizabeth’s mom. But they each did redeem themselves. It was great!
I did, at times, feel that their relationship moved too
fast. But I knew that they both had been hurt in the past, so I understood
their need to be with someone who healed them. It was definitely sexier than
Danielle’s YA series and I loved it.
Again, I loved this book and I can’t wait to see what
Danielle has up her sleeve for us next!
Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: I initiated a long, delightful kiss, loosing myself in the pleasure of
being in his room and on his bed. I inched over, closer, pressing my body
against his. The sweet kiss we started with evolved into something bred of
hunger and need. My fingers wound into his hair, holding him close. His hand traveled
from my hair, down my body, squeezing, kneading my flesh.
Rating: 4/5 Tar Heels!
About the Author:
Danielle Sibarium grew up as an only child of divorced parents in Brooklyn, New York. Her imagination was developed at an early age. Surrounded by stuffed animals and imaginary friends, she transported herself into a fantasy world full of magic and wonder. Books were the gateway between her play world and reality. On any given summer afternoon she became Snow White sweeping and cooking for the dwarfs, or Cinderella waiting for the prince.Danielle always loved dialogue and in elementary school began writing plays and short stories. This is when she began to understand she could not only bring her fantastical world to life for herself, but she could enchant others as well. And so she wrote. She wrote and wrote and wrote.Sadly the first piece she ever sent out for publication of any sort was a letter to the editor of The Home News Tribune. It was a piece of thanking the first responders for their bravery and selflessness on Sept. 11th. It was chosen as letter of the week.In 2007 Danielle collaborated with Charlotte Doreen Small to write songs for her CD More. Danielle wrote the lyrics for Take My Hand, and Goodbye, while Charlotte contributed the melody. In October 2011 Danielle’s debut novel For Always was released. She has since released The Heart Waves Trilogy, Heart Waves, Breaking Waves, and Waves of Love. Danielle graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with honors, and currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.Find Danielle at:
