Blog Tour: Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire - Review + Giveaway!

The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.

Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

Guys, I have to say, this book was great! Trenton Maddox, hot tattoo artist…perfection!

Cami was a great heroine. As the synopsis states, she really is super independent and awesome. She is not afraid to speak her mind at all and was always there for her family, no matter the consequences placed on her. She is someone I wouldn’t mind having in my corner and supporting me. She’s also a bit mysterious but I liked that she kept me guessing!

Trenton Maddox was an amazing guy. He was really protective of what was his and he quickly claimed Cami as his. He was rough on the outside but a total softie on the inside. Seriously, some of the things he does are super cute and made me go awwwww. He has a heart of gold and is pretty sensitive but is still a hot bad-ass.

The plot had me guessing the whole time and there is a revelation that will knock you on your butt. It really surprised me, but it may not surprise you. The writing is flowy and really sucked me in the story. The romance is five star alarm hot! They tried to be friends but when you’re meant to be with someone, love will always overpower. :)

This is the start of the Maddox Brothers series and I am looking forward to the other brothers!

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: Trenton grabbed me by the shoulders and planted a kiss on my mouth. Sheer shock made my lips hard and unforgiving, but then they melted against his, along with the rest of my body. I relaxed, but my breathing picked up, and my heart beat so loud I was sure Trenton could hear it. His tongue slipped between my lips, and his hands slid down my arms to my hips, his fingers digging into my skin. (From an advanced, uncorrected reader copy. Quote may not appear in final copy.)
