From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a new novel about risking everything for love—and finding your heart somewhere between the truth and lies.

Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover that Owen is keeping some major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…

This book was received from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Colleen Hoover is a genius, creator of masterpieces. Everything I read by her is complete perfection, and Confess is tied as my favorite with Ugly Love and Maybe Someday.

Auburn was such a likeable heroine. I admired all of her choices that she made because they were really hard choices. She was young but strong and not naïve. Her situation was so sad but she worked so hard to put things in her favor. I really looked up to her.

Owen Mason Gentry, or OMG, is a sexy artist. I thought his job was amazing, painting people’s realest, most private confessions. They were absolutely heartbreaking. And Owen was unbelievably great. He was selfless and so caring.

Colleen has such a gift for doing something special in every one of her books. Between the songs in Maybe Someday, Miles’ verse chapters in Ugly Love, and the artwork in Confess, everything she does makes her readers feel so much. I applaud her so much. Colleen’s writing is so unique and I just love it.

November 9 is her next book releasing, and it sounds totally amazing. I know I’ll be lining up to read that as soon as it releases.

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: He kisses me with conviction and apology and anger, and it’s somehow all wrapped up in tenderness. When our tongues meet, it’s a momentary reprieve from the reality of our good-bye. We both exhale softly, because this is exactly how a kiss should feel. My knees want to buckle from the feel of his lips against mine.
